I think there may need to be an award for couples who take engagement portraits and get married over the summer her in New Orleans! I mean that takes a trooper because it is H.O.T.! Even thought is was hot & humid we had an absolute blast with these cuties for their engagement session this past weekend! From the very first email we received from Rebecca inquiring with us, I knew one thing to be true: she was *destined* to be a Studio Lund Bride! And if we thought we couldn’t wait for their big day before, after hanging with these two cuties during their session…now we REALLY cannot wait for their big day!
Months ago when reading over Rebecca’s inquiry I think my eyes actually turned to legit heart emojis while reading over the details of their big day! She hadn’t even booked us yet and she was already planning on sharing a first look with Patrick, along with bridal party portraits on their family land which consists 60 acres of land with gorgeous Oak trees. It’s moments like those that I think the heart eye emoji was *actually* created for! Basically, Rebecca & Peter are our kind of couple times 100 and we are so excited to have them in our Studio Lund family!
For their engagement session we got to shoot at one of my absolute favorite locations, it’s close to City Park but not actually in the park, it’s private and has the dreamiest light and coloring. I am always so honored when our couples trust us on location ideas, even if they seem kind of crazy! As an added bonus too, the trees are in full bloom this time of year!! That may make up for it being so hot in my opinion, because those blooms and gorgeous greens are so dreamy and beautiful. We had such a blast hanging with these two during their session and hearing more about themselves and the big day! Despite the heat and humidity, I think it’s safe to say that we all had fun! When I think of an engagement session experience for our couples, the word fun is the first thing to come to mind, that & comfortable. Because honestly without having fun and being comfortable, the session is not a success on our side. We are always thinking about the ways we can best serve our clients and couples and while delivering gorgeous galleries is certainly part of that, it’s also the experience they have working with us and how the leave feeling about themselves and us! Rebecca & Patrick were game for anything during their session, I loved it! Even when I brought up them standing under a tree and having Daniel shake it so the blooms would rain down on them, they were game…and I think it totally payed off!
Rebecca & Patrick were total PROS during their session! Would you believe me if I told you that my very first frame I took during their session is actually on this blog as one of my favorites, because it’s true! TOTAL PROS! Rebecca & Patrick, thank you so much for entrusting us with your big day and all the little moments leading up to it! We had a blast with you both and cannot wait to see you again!
As you scroll through this blog I hope you enjoy this sweet couple & some of our favorites from their session! There are so many gorgeous portraits, I can’t even pick a single favorite!
